Rare Football Programme Like with Stamp Collecting, we would all love to find that mistake, which makes the item Rare and hopefully Valuable. Well in Football Programme terms this occurred in 2003, at the Worthington Cup Final which was played at Cardiff,Wales between Liverpool and Manchester United. The original print run for the Programme was about 35,000 and after they were all printed somebody spotted a spelling mistake on the front cover.At the top of the Football programme 'OFFICAL MATCHDAY PROGRAMME' was printed, notice the 1st word is incorrectly spelt. Rather than destroy them and start again the Football Authorities decided to sell them as usual to the General Public, but for the VIPs and Dignitaries they had a small print run of 2,000 done this time at the top of the Football Programme 'OFFICIAL MATCHDAY PROGRAMME' was printed. So for anyone who has the Football Programme with the CORRECT spelling have in their possession a RARE and maybe one day a VALUABLE football Programme.
